  11. Creepy Crawlies is a standard Windows screen saver with many options.
  12.  
  13. Installation.
  14. -------------
  15.  
  16. The screen saver is supplied as a single .ZIP file called CREEPY.ZIP
  17. This file should be unzipped into you its own directory where it creates
  18. 4 files:
  19.  
  20.     CREEPY.SCR        the screen saver.
  21.         CREEPY.TXT        instructions and registering info.
  22.     README.TXT    readme file
  23.     INSTALL.BAT    installation batch file.
  24.  
  25. To install Creepy Crawlies run install.bat from the directory where these 4 files 
  26. reside.

  28. Once installed the screen saver is accessed via the Windows Control Panel.

  31. General Options.
  32. ----------------

  34. Blank Screen -     If this option is checked the screen is blanked when the
  35.                    screen saver starts up.
  36.  
  37. Leave Trails -    If this option is checked the creepy crawlies leave trails 
  38.                   behind them.

  42. Group Options.
  43. --------------
  44. N.B. Only 1 group can be set up in the un-registered version.
  45.  
  46. These options set the type and behavior of the creepy crawlies groups.

  49. Type -    Selects the type of creepy crawlie.
  50.  
  51. Colour -  You can select one of 15 colours or 'Random' which selects
  52.           the colour of each creepy crawlie randomly.
  53.  
  54. Number -  How many creepy crawlies there are.
  55.  
  56. Tail Length -  How long the creepy crawlies are.
  57.  
  58. Wiggliness  -  Low values cause the creepy crawlies to crawl in 
  59.                straight lines, high values make them very 'wiggly'.

  63. Light Related Options.
  64. ----------------------
  65. When the light is active the creepy crawlies will crawl towards it. The 
  66. following options determine how the creepy crawlies behave in respect to 
  67. the light.

  69. Light On -    Check this option if you want a light for the creepy 
  70.               crawlies to congregate around.
  71.  
  72. Show Light -  Check this option if you want the light to be shown
  73.               on screen when it is on.
  74.  
  75. Light On Time    \_   These options determine when the light appears
  76. Light Off Time   /    and disappears.
  77.  
  78. Independance - When the light is on the creepy crawlies do not
  79.                always head straight for it. Some of the time they do
  80.                their own thing. This options sets the percentage of 
  81.                the time that they do there own thing. A value of 0 
  82.                means that when th light appears they head straight 
  83.                for it. A value of 100 means they will ignore the 
  84.                light completly.

  91. The best way to find out how these all these options work and how 
  92. flexible the options are is to try the presets. Simply select a preset 
  93. from the combo box and press 'Apply'. All the options above will be setup
  94. for you.

  97. Un-Registered Version.

  100. You are free to distrubute the un-registered version of the Creepy 
  101. Crawlies screensaver provided you do not 
  102.

  108. What do you get in the registered version ?
  109.  
  110. 1. You can turn on up to 4 groups of creepy crawlies at the same time. 
  111.    They can all be different and have different behavior.

  113. 2. The password options are available.
  114.  
  115. 3. There are more presets, including ones that set up more than one 
  116.    group.
  117.  
  118. 4. You get the DESKTOP version. Creepy crawlies run around your desktop
  119.    and behind your Windows all the time !!!! They also follow the mouse
  120.    instead of the light !!!!

  122. 5. News of any other screen savers and stuff I develop.

  168. Screen Saver by any means provided you observe  the following:

  172.   must be distributed as a complete archive, without exception.
  173.   Specifically the 4 following files must appear unmodified.

  180. 2.Small additions to the product, such as the introductory or

  182.   magazine disks are acceptable, provided they acheive the same result 
  183.   as the installation routine which may have been included by the author.
